Fall toggin in LIS can be very good. We won our local tourney ($300) last year with a best 3 fish total of 28 lbs. In 8 feet of water. Bill's tourney is well known with many more entrants and much more $$. Interesting fact about Bill's. It is a restaurant with a deck that hangs out over a river that goes through a large marina and into LIS. Stripers come up the river after bunkers, shad and alewives. The folks eating on the deck feed the bass. They become almost tame. They like french fries. (I'm not joking!) I've always wanted to bring my boat up the river and catch the "tame" bass to see how much I could piss off the diners. I would, of course, let the bass go. I would probably get lynched! A friend keeps his 25 Parker upstream of Bill's. The location is fab but, in my opinion, the food sucks. In the marina there is a restaurant called "Boom" (I think) which is very good!!! Bring your wallet. Route I/Boston Post Road in Westbrook, CT.
