OK, as you all know you were recently hit with yet another tax by the tax-fattened hyenas in the mass legislature-a first ever tax on beer, wine and liquor. Well, in the picture below, you'll see that the do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do legislators are heading to my fair state to beat the tax. This car, belonging to rep. mike rodericks, a dumbocrat from teh south coast. This bleep-di-bleep actually lobbyed for the additional tax and here is, buying booze in NH to beat the tax HE put in place. When are the ppl are mass going to realize that they are being used by these low-lives???
I didn't take the picture. I lifted it off of Howie Carr's site. It does speak volumes not only about the scum-baggery of mass pols, but also to the value of carying a camera in your car...
You'll never see that picture in our local paper, the New Bedford Standard Times unfortunatly.
I believe he lobbied for the tax stating it would have no effect on the border towns.....
I'm going to report him to my Congressman, Barney Frank.
Ohhh wait a minute.......

Baaaarney will just ask him to bend over as his pennance for shopping for his booze out of state. F****ing Buffoon !!!!!
I went in to buy a bottle of vodka the other day which cost $18.99. Final cost at the register was $23.64 with tax!!!!!!
Thanks Demarol Patrick !!!!!!! Poor bastard had hip surgery today..... hope they inserted a new hip that will lock up on him !!!!!!!
Guys, for YEARS now, I've been bringing NH booze, fireworks and large packages of meats to our Cape house and to a bunch of my friends in the area. Heck I've even filled one of my trucks with appliances for a coule of buds who were each remodeling their homes. They saved in excess of $5,000 each on hi-end (Wolf, Braun, Viking, Electrolux, etc) appliances in both price and taxes and I got a couple of great dinners out of the deal. Here's a savings example on booze just last week. A buddy wanted 2 cases (12 bottles) of 1.75 ml Capt. Morgan rum. In mass., each bottle was $31.97, plus a 6.25% tax. In NH, there was a sale (he saw it on the 'net) at $19.99 per bottle. Do the math. I don't see this service as an imposition, rather, I see it as doing friends a favor and f&$^ing the commonealth in the process. A win-win if you will. BTW, I'll be heading to the Cape tomorrow eve or Thurs am if anyone wants to place an order...
I live in MA, I have an office in NH. I can't remember the last time I bought hard liquor or anything over $100 in MA. Tools, furniture, appliances, jewelry, TVs, sporting goods equipment; all purchased on-line or in NH. My wife and I have sworn to purchase nothing substantial in MA; I like living here but screw the 25% sales tax hike. Could be worse, however, PA has higher taxes on everything.
Now I just add beer and wine to my NH shopping list. Still no tax on clothing in MA but I'm sure that's coming soon. NH did just increase the meal tax at restaurants, however.
This week I'm looking at boats for sale in NH, just need to figure out a way to register it there too!
In all seriousness, how do these jackass politicians get to office and then get re-elected? Barney being numero uno on the list! He is the epitome of the problems this country faces, and now he is leading the recovery of the mess he led us into?? As a registered independent, in a democratic hellhole, there is little to do but cast my vote for "other". In reality, there is seldom a choice on the ballot, and if there is, they are little known and underfunded !!!

Surely you declare these out of state purchases on your tax return, right?
We are back in MA now and will try to do everything we can to purchase out of state. At least MA has a lower income tax than Maine....
Liquor store? That looks like the New Hampshire "rest area" on I-93 or I-95 to me.Given that politicians are generally full of ****, it seems like a reasonable place to stop. :-D
Barney Frank... Don't get me started. Arrogant SOB - if you ask him a question he can't answer, he calls you a fool. He pushed for lowering the requirements for purchasing two- family homes in mass. several years ago, and guess where there is a higher rate of mortgage defaults?? Guy refuses to use a computer, had a man whore on his payroll -- he's a legend for all the wrong reasons.
