Default Narragansett Bay RI Boat Ramps - east side

Hi folks,
I would like to launch 18' CC somewhere on the east side of the bay this weekend. Perhaps Bristol, Warren or Tiverton area. Looking for quality launch sites with decent safe parking. I need a good ramp with decent traction. Have used Colt State Park in the past, wondering what else is out there. Any idea how busy these ramps will be on Saturday 6/27? Thanks for the help.

Try Haines Park. It will be busy on the weekend but it is much more protected than Colt State Park so better when there is wind. There are no decent ramps in Tiverton (you can launch a small boat at Tiverton town beach near Seapowat creek but there is no proper ramp). There is also a ramp in Swansea that requires a permit (can only get the permit at the town hall during bankers hours).

See http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/bnatr...d/boatlnch.htm for a list of ramps in RI.

If you want to be further South, the ramp and lot on Burma Road is pretty good. You are a couple of miles from the Newport Bridge there.
