Last year we could walk across the dogs. On a couple trips they were swarming the boat & that was chunking without a chumline. It was awful. I looked into fishing them comercially, but I think the market rate was something like .10 or .20/pound. Also, I've heard that they excete through thier skin and have to be handled/processed differently. The only dealer I saw was in southern MA. It's hard to believe NOAA Fisheries considers the dogfish stock in trouble.

One goose & it was about 12"-14".

THey don't call the stock in trouble...they say the ratrio between male and female dogs are off...not enough mature females...so much off that there is a zero fishery for them now...by the way they never left they were caught almost for the whole winter...I was catching them in early april by heard they were caught as early as february...oh well just have to live with them
