Default Canyon Network

What do you guys think about starting a hull truth canyon network? We can designate a station to call each other from and exchange info. Who is in?

I usually only do day trips on my boat, and*those only when the weather is perfect.* But I'd like to participate.

Marlintini,
What canyons do you mostly fish? Any ideas for a station number?

Sounds like a great idea. I fish out of Fire Island Inlet and normally run day trips to the Hudson / Tower / Bacardi. Phil

Yep, sounds like a great idea. I also run out of Fire Island Inlet and fish the Hudson, Bacardi and Tower areas. I don't do too many canyon trips, but usually go overnight when I do except for the late season bluefin trips. Hopefully I'll get out there a little more this year with the bigger boat.

Alright guys,
I usually fish the Lindy and the Wilmington. This year I will have more range. We could set this up were we monitor one channel or we can call each other on 68 and then switch over to a designated channel. Can anyone think of a channel that isn't used?

Marlin,
How's that new ride comming? I had THE ROAD out today for a ride after I acid flushed the raw water side of the heat exchangers. My 3208Cats got me to 22.5 upwind and 23.5 down wind. I was turning 2400 rpms. We were light so add another 600 pounds of fuel and 4 more guys plus gear and ice and I will back to 21kts. Count me in. If you ever hear guys calling for the Wolfpack it is the Bertram gang. Follow them you know how fish like to committ suicide at the Bertram transoms. Pick a channel and a better name than hull truth and I am in.

Charlie,

It's coming along....
Splashed yesterday afternoon.
They put on the tower and riggers today.
They will be going through all the systems tomorrow and Monday.
Yanmar is coming next Wed to certify the engine setup.
Also have Costa's enclosures coming to install next week.

I ussually gas up in Portugal. Gas is cheaper there and we also sell most of our fish there as well at top dollar.

I think the Flemish Cap Birdman is talking must be some bar on the Island. A 28 Abaco makes a real nice rig for fishing Long Island Sound; but I am sure he only gets to the canyons on the party boats.

Has anything been decided yet? I would not use ch. 78. There is another website in NJ that uses that ch.
