Default Ma THTers

Guy's I know fron previous post that there's a ton of you out there. Please view the new regional forum. This could be informational, entertaining and fun. There are several posts. One for the Cape, one for the North Shore, and mine. I think that we need to be a little less territorial and get a general Ma thing going to be modified later as need be. Please add your 2 cents.....

Bill

Good point, alot of us are nomads and don't really have a home port to speak of. I live out in Upton 50 miles to the closest salt but I fish from Gloster to Point Judith!

I'm running out of Marina Bay, Quincy, and usually roam as far north as Gloucester and as far south as Buzzards Bay. Been known to travel to Stellwagon and P'Town/Wellfleet area.

I usually fish out of Green Harbor, but since I trailer have been known to wander south to Falmouth.

As before, I am in favor of a MA forum including cape & islands. It seems just by the number of hits on the other regional forums compared to the relatively small hits the proposed sectioned MA forums were getting that this makes the most sense. For me, I hope it will open up new areas to boat where I may otherwise not travel. If it remains a Northeast forum, that's OK as well.

I'll be mooring a boat in Marion, Ma. I think this regional thing is a great idea. I don't have a lot of experience in Massachusetts waters...Mostly CT. I grew up on the south shore but fished CT...My friends who have boats live down there.

Anyway ...I like it.

I keep my boat in Wareham and fish down to Cuttyhunk and over to the Vineyard. I also belong to a yacht club in quincy and I am starting to fish Boston harbor.

A good friend and fishing partner keeps his blackfin on the centerville river, so I spend alot of time fishing horseshoe, Wasque, Tuckernuck shoals area and over to Monomoy island.

Just came back from 2 days in Boston on business...I know the season is short compared to what we have down South but its beautiful there.

PS - I hope each and every one of you was playing hooky today and enjoying the 80 degree weather!!

I keep the boat moored in Salem at Winter Island. We dive and fish off it ranging from Halibut Point to the outer islands of Boston.

I boat out of the West Falmouth area and range from there
to Cuttyhunk and the Vineyard. I have recently down sized
which shrinks my territory a bit. I used to range from Nantucket
P-town, to Block Island but not on a 23 footer....

My wife and three kids like to mix it up between fishing and swimming,
splashing and general play time on the water. We tend to swing through
Hadley's Harbor most weekends at least once.

I fish as far North as Stellwagen, Wildcat.. and south to the Canyons on my friends 38. Also fish everywhere in between on my own boat, Most inshore fishing I do is south of the cape from Monomoy, Nantucket, Wasque to Vineyard sound. So... basically whereever the bite is ON !! Generally I boat from Bass River and ocassionally trailer elsewhere.. Green Pond in Falmouth, Sesuit Harbor in Dennis.. and so on..
