Last year we offered up a
FREE giant tuna trip in Morehead City, NC to anyone who booked us for the past year. 20 different groups took us up on this deal and some of them were treated to a couple giants. Well this year we want to make sure everyone is aware of the fact that if you book an overnighter canyon trip with the Canyon Runner Team you will get a
FREE giant tuna trip with us as well for no additional cost on the overnighter.
I also wanted to make everyone aware that we offer early season (June/July)
Canyon Tutorial Charters. These one of a kind charters have you extremely involved in every single aspect of the trip. You work side-by-side and hand-in-hand with the Canyon Runner Crew - from the bridge, to the cockpit, to the engine room. We will go over every aspect of the trip and spend every minute together discussing techniques, lure placement, trolling patterns, knots, boat handling, reading radar, reading fish finders, reading the weather, and reading the water.
Think of it as a 30+ hour seminar 100 miles offshore.
Our two-day overnighters are usually just 24-hour trips but on these tutorial overnighters we will be spending 30+ hours offshore. We will get you down to the boat 2 hours early and work with you to gear up for trolling, chunking, sharking, swordfishing and tilefishing and you will be doing all of this during your trip. We will get in 7-10 hours of trolling the first day and at night we’ll chunk for tuna and set up for swords and sharks. In the morning we will get up on the troll at first light and troll for another 7-10 hours. To spice up the day we may also spend some time dropping on the tilefish grounds. Again, you will be involved in every aspect of the trip.
Booking a tutorial trip insures that you will receive the most thorough hands-on training available anywhere at no additional cost to our normal trips. The cost for an overnighter is $3,795 on the 48’ Canyon Runner and $4,795 on the 60’ Ritchie Howell Canyon Runner.
