Could anyone recommend a good engine surveyor. The boat is located in Toms River, NJ.

Thanks,

Call your local Atlantic Detroit Diesel outlet, Johnson and Towers is in Egg Harbor as well.

They know the big iron beasts the best of anyone. And if you need a repair or work done, they can do the work without much diagnostic work or extra cost to you.

You can try Chuck of CB Marine Diesel.....He used to have a shop on the Comstock property. He worked on my 8.2 GMs a few times a few years back...

Did you check with your surveyor, they know most of the guys in the area. Mine had a recommendation for Yanmars, and it worked out good because the engine surveryor was familiar with my surveyor and everything worked well together.

You could try Performance Diesel in Branford, CT. He rebuilt my Detroit's and did a great job.

Try John Lane over at Forked River Diesel and Generator. He is only about 30 minutes from you. He grew up on those DD's.
