Default 11-9-08 Report Manasquan Inlet Area

Nice to finally be able to post a report that I was actually involved in! After a 2 month hiatus, we broke the inlet right at 8 am. We headed out to 50 feet and made a left. Before I was able to get the second rod out the first fish was on. This is how the day went. In the next 4 hours we boated 15 or so Bass and 40 blues. The bass were 4 keepers (2 kept) and the rest between 26-28 inches. The blues were all big with most around 8-10 pounds and a few super jumbos around 15 pounds. Everything was caught trolling 200 feet of wire between 45-60 feet of water at 5 knts using a dark red and a black umbrella rig (tubes). We never went more than a mile north of the inlet and 3 miles south of the inlet. We never went more than 5-10 minutes without a fish. A lot of doubles......Radio chatter had most of the hundreds of boats out there with similar results. The fish were plentiful and eager to commit suicide today. I am guessing I have 2-3 weeks left before I pull her for the season. It is nice to back out there.................

Alright... I'll keep mine in another couple of weeks just so I can piss the missus off a little more and if the fish are commiting suicide who am I not to partake and help them

Then it's off to Sunset Point Marina for the winter and a long winters nap...
