Default hunting or fishing could be next !

Liberals are attempting to shut down dog racing in MA. If they succeed, their attention will turn elsewhere .One possible victim is hunting as hunting deals with animals as dog racing does. Their argument may be that hunting is somehow cruelity to animals. Unfortunately, this could work because people are very sympathetic towards animals. After hunting will be fishing as both are directly related. We have to do what is necessary now to prevent an inevitable stop to everything we live for and enjoy doing. Vote no on question 3 to insure are freedoms

It's what the breed does. Like a retriever likes to fetch. What the hell else do you want a grayhound for?

the dog racing industry should be stopped. If you think this is a LIBERAL thing, you are just as ignorant as you think they are. And I'm not a Liberal

As an avid fisherman, part-time hunter, and veterinarian this appears to be right up my alley.

I appreciate "drezends" passion with respect to preserving our right to hunt and fish, that's why many of us come to this site. This being said, there are a few confounding issues that make this line of reasoning a bit weak.
First, dog racing not only involves animals but gambling as well. This really complicates the argument and brings a new light onto the motivation of the law.
Second, the core of quality fisherman and hunters are both respectful of the game management and environment (you can't catch fish in dirty water) which also would affect this argument.
Last, in a professional view much of what happens at Grey hound race tracts is not like Labs hunting, an understatement. Call it cruel, call it a necessary evil; in either case it aint nice- trust me.
At the end of the day in my opinion putting more restrictions or stopping grey hound racing is a long way away from a fishing moratorium. If there was some concern of me losing my fishing and hunting privileges I would move to Mass. to vote against the law.

When I vote to take away the income tax the states going to need the revenue (JK) What happens to all the dogs when you get ridof racing. I'm sure there are a few horrible handlers and there are many more caring breeders. If you are going to ban this then you better be prepared to ban all dog breeding. Maybe thats the ultimate goal. Thier kept in kennels and transported in cages just like most good bird dogs. I have a problem voting away someones job. Unless it's Kerry's

The Humane Society of the United States is little one sided. I'm sure that people involved in dog racing would totally disagree. The truth is always somewhere in the middle.

Which, if you've ever met a racing greyhound, they don't seem to mind at all. They happily return to their crates.

I wouldn't call HSUS "a little one-sided." They are wacko nutjobs, like PETA. Staff members of HSUS have been linked to vandalism and arson. Anti-hunting, anti-fishing, anti-fur, anti-leather, you name it. And as a charity, they have terrible ratings -- they received 0 to 1 stars from Charity Rating, indicating little of their money actually goes towards charity.

HSUS has zero credibility.

And no, I have no connection to dog racing. I've never been to a dog race. I'm not into gambling. But this liberal desire to have the state butt into everyone's business completely disgusts me.

Yeah i was being sarcastic. I think these guys are nutjobs as well.

And i do agree with the state not getting into everyones business. If people enjoy doing it and people profit off it then so be it. If it is in decline fine let them run themselves out of business, not be run out of business.

Personaly I enjoy going to the track. I have all my life and I have family that are very much into it. Not one of them including myself hates animals or anything like that. In fact I am very much against cruelty to animals.
But its my opinion and everyone is free to have theres.
