Default bass fishing raritan bay

had a charter sunday afternoon with 3 guys including another hull truther. we covered alot of water fishing the hook, the knoll, up on the flats and around the rock piles short of the ambrose drifting eel's, peanuts, jigging and going crazy trying to get a bass to bite. there was alot of boat traffic which i knew was going to be a problem but there were birds working and i thought we still would of had a couple of bass. we ended up having one definite bass hit, one blue chopped an eel in 2, a bunch of sea robbins, 1 sea bass, and a few fluke............now you see why i was going crazy!!! all in all a fun day spent with a great group of guys.

Just had two great days with plenty of bass, all were a little farther down the coast and all under the birds. Hope this helps if you get out again, I'm going to try for this afternoon as well.

Water temp still too warm in the harbor @ 61 degrees. Was out Sunday and only caught a few shorts and also a few small blues.

Last two nights produced a total of a big fat nothing at all in the rips on eels.
