Default Cell phone on Stellwegan

Has anyone used a cell phone booster kit like this to get good cell phone coverage on Stellwegan?

My experience with the cell phone antenna / booster I installed on my boat is that it's not worth the expense. I have a different brand so I can't comment on this one. It really only extends my cell phone range3 or4 miles at best. What usually happens when I've used it and get a call, I can hear the caller but my signal is broken up.

Good luck...

My buddy has AT&T and his cell phone works on the NWC. He pulled off a work call on the bow of my boat and then went back to fishing. My verizon doesn't work anywhere on the bank.

I have Verizon and it was marginal last week. Took 3 calls from work before I finally was able to hear and say everything. But we were also near the SW corner which is probably as close to land as you're going to be.

I think it's gods way of saying "you're fishing, put down the damn phone".

Last year I took one of the youger guys at work out for an afternoon of fishing.
As soon as we left the dock he's on the cell to work "directing traffic", so to
speak. I let him finish the call and read him the riot act, nicely. I took him
again last week. He brought a camera, a cooler, and a smile. I love it when
people learn.

Thanks for the feedback, I was afraid that was the case. I guess it's sat phone if you really need the coverage.
