In a Eutopia! The state would have more money to fund more ramps and provide more access to the water by buying and creating more parking areas...ect!

Sashamy - 6/12/2008 1:55 PM I agree there, it is just different states management plans...ME also has a slot, we don't...we have meetings and any signed petitions that are brought forward to the state are looked at...the other thing is if this is a federal agency stripers would not even be counted, as it is the law that you can not retain or fish for them in federal waters...
Ok...........and again this is my point..........you, as a fisherman give me one........just one legitemate reason why bass fishing is illegal in fed waters??

So lets regulate and manage the fishery even more with more fees and forms

I am already registered with the fedswith My Gen Cat HMS permit and now to continue to use it I have to register again..................no thanks

I have zero idea why bass fishing is illegal in Federal waters, other than back in the eighties the draggers and gill netters off Jersey were croaking them and killing the migration, so they put a stop to it by stopping the retention of bass in federal waters....does that mean we shouldn't be allowed to fish Nantucket sound and all of its anomalies, I don't think so, but who am I? I caught six on the bank last week by accident codfishing, and I had to let em go....I have also seen 100's of 30 to 40 pounders floating at the BB buoy...all by catch and wasted from those draggers...it sucks to see them dumped, what do you want me to say, I will register and pay for anything, fishing was my livlihood for 12 years, I still fare well from it, however it is to the point now that it has to be a part time job...and it is only going to get worse....
