Default Vinyard Sound Advice

Hello all,
I recently moved back to the falmouth area would like to get back into bass fishing, I have not fished in the area in about 10 years. Im thinking about heading out this weekend with my father and my son, It will be my sons first salt water fishing experience. I stumbled upon this site and have found alot of great info already, thanks to everyone who has posted advise in the past. I was wondering if anyone has been out around middle ground or down around the elizabeth islands and has had any luck, I'm not looking for any secret spots or anything like that just some general advise on where people are having some success and what you guys are using. I am really just looking to have a great time with my family catching some bass. any advise would be greatly appreciated and if i can return the favor in the future, when I am able to get out more i certainly will.

I've been in the Elizabeths the last two weekends and have found good #'s of fish both times. I'll probably be checking out the Nantucket sound rips and the south side of the Vinyard this weekend. Forecast is looking great. Good luck and welcome back!

the elizabeths this time of year is clearly as good as it gets as far as bass fishing. the numbers are good, the fish are hungry, and you have a legitimate chance at a real trophy. i have also done well in the past with jigs and wire this time of year around bishop and clerks and the nantucket sound rips (horseshoe, handkerchief, etc). i will say that middle ground looks fishy as heck but ive never fished it due to the crowds.
