Default Full Moons vs. Fishing

It has been my experience while fishing that many fish either don't like to feed, just prior-during and just after full moons. Also I have read numerious occasions of weird activity amongst our ocean inhabitants during full moons. Can any fisherman identify with me on this and maybe share there experience and possible theories for this??? or did I smoke to much during the 80's..lol

All the crap that is floating in Cape Cod Bay all comes into Plymouth Harbor during the Moon's tides.

thats something i never would have thought of..(the obvious) ..same here, Sandwich Harbor and Scortons Creek Marsh tops loaded with junk during high tides.

Two things that need to be addressed also ASAP are the ferry dumping waste in CCbay and along the coast and addressing how the "out fall pipe" from Boston harbor has effected the ground fishing here!

thanx for the feed back!

I was down at Scorton Creek last week, I walked to the bridge an hour before high tide. After the wind blew my jig into the rafter on the bridge, then eventually losing it I went home. I had a good day trout fishing.

In general, my belief, after years of personal experience and consulting other anglers, I've found that the few days prior to and after a full moon are quite productive. My personal belief is that most fish are lazy and don't want to expend energy needlessly when everything moves quick on the full moon so they'll tend to fill up with food just before and after the moon. Just my .02. Jim

You mean ruined?

The lobstermen I know that are out of Saugus, tell me that the area around the outfall pipe is a dead zone and it is growing bigger all the time too.
