Default Sakonnet Point/ Newport Area
Anyone know when the bass start showing up in these areas? Bought a new boat thi syear and i am running it from Wareham up into the Sakonnet River around mid to late April. Wondering if ti is worth taking a chance there.

You could-
generally you would find fish a little earlier down at the entrance to buzzards bay-but not by much
A bet fishing by where you keep your boat is also a good in the spring....

Upper Narragansett Bay is really fun to fish in the spring-I like may when the squid come in.

Oh yeah we killed them last year in the river. Lots of fun with light spinning gear.
