Default Weekly Slip Rentals in LBI, NJ

Renting a house in LBI this summer and was looking to bring the boat (20ft Mako). Anyone know of a Marina down there that rents slips on a weekly basis?

Call Causeway Marina...609-494-1371. I slip there all season. It's the large marina that sits adjacent to the causeway onto LBI. I just talked to Wally, the owner, and he has transient slips that he reserves for situations like yours. There is also a launch ramp and space to store your trailer. Generally, his slip rates are the best on the island. Good luck.

I'll (third?) Causeway. Good place. Also, check with Hochstrasser's in Ship Bottom. Great, knowledgeable family that owns the place, and I think they have some weekly rates.

I forgot to mention the close proximity to the Dutchman's. I can be found at the "Quelle" most anytime during the season if you need further marina information.

If you plan on fishing I would go north to Barnegat Inlet. I rented a slip last summer for a week from what used to be Eric's boat rental. $125/week. I was out of the inlet within 5 minutes. Did not have a problem with shallow water issues and navigating the back of the inlet. I plan to do it again this summer. From Harvey Cedars you can be at your boat within 10 minutes and not have to deal with mid-island traffic and congestion issues.

Great heads up. If I'm not mistaken there is a boat rental operation out that marina. I think its called the Boat Man or something like that. It owned by the same guy who runs Loveladies Marina. I drove by it a few weeks ago.

I have a house right nown the street in Highbar Harbor. If you want to go into the ocean find a slip up by Barnegat Inlet. It is about a 5 to 10 minute ride for you. Also, there is a municipal ramp there as well.

Call either Bobby's bait, Eric's, or Bayview.

If you get a slip down by Harvey cedar or below (down towards the causeay) it is a big pain in the rear to get out into the ocean. This is becuase you have to cros the bay head north and then cross back.

Good luck.

PS If you rented my house you would not have this problem. We include two boat slips with the rental http://www.vrbo.com/87872
