Just checked it out. I'm going to try, but my wife is due with our first child only 2 weeks later. So, we'll see...

Yea I figured it would be the new home for the Seminar
Monmouth is closer for me and I bring my son so I do not go into the casinos anyway
Maybe the cost was to much

Did anyone make it? And if so, how was it?

For me, I knew it would happen this way...

1. Call and pay by credit card for the seminars at 12pm on Friday (1/11/08)
2. Wife will then call me to tell me she is feeling something (38 weeks pregnant)
3. Go home to see her as she is calling the Dr.
4. Dr says "Go to hospital, NOW".
5. Get to hospital at 2:30pm. Wife is in full labor and 2 hours later... we are parents of a beautiful baby girl (our first child!)
6. Fishing seminars are the last thing on my list right now! (and that's a good thing!) But I thought I'd ask anyway.

Congrats Rampage
There will always be other Seminars

I do not think this years was as good as the previous years so you really did not miss much.
Maybe you can E-Mail them and tell them what happend and they could hook you up in NY

Congrats Glen!! Since you missed it for such a worthy cause, here's a short review.. This was my first time attending one of these, and it was pretty much what I expected.. Not a whole lot for the more experienced..lots of basics, and well known spots discussed.. I picked up a couple nuggets, but was a bit disappointed that the discussions where all so generic..I'm sure my Brother and buddy (whose basic fishing strategies are to get in the boat and then say to me " ok..take us to the fish ") got a bit more out of it.. That being said, it was entertaining, and the free shwag really offset the ticket price imo..And while I did'nt win anything, the door prizes where pretty sweet..including a guy who won a 70 International.. I got a kick out of Poveromo trying to get exact wreck locations out of the captains at the end..yea right :.. I also enjoyed the gasp that came from the crowd when Monica Oswalt's name was called for a doorprize.. I was glad that NJ showed it's class and didn't escalate the gasp to booing and hissing!
