Default Salem MA Launching and Trailer Storage

I was hoping someone might have some recommendations for someone to tow and launch my new boat (well it's new to me anyhow) in the Spring (it needs to go from Danvers down to Salem) - it's on a trailer and the trailer is in process of getting registered.

The second part is can anyone recommend someplace that will store my trailer for the summer while boat is on the mooring in the greater Salem MA area?

Any help appreciated - this is my first time owning my own boat. Falling in love with it was easy - all the detail stuff has been the hard part.

Thanks - Liza

If you don't or can't store on your own property, you can store trailers in summer at the Laundromat in Marblehead for a small fee. Can't recall what street they are on, but they will store in sumer as well as in the winter. If you can find a friend with a truck, you can save on the hauling. Local boatyards will also haul for you. I've used All Coast Marine 781-576-9856 and Richard's Marine in Marblehead/Salem at various times. There is also Ryan Marine in Marblehead and a bunch of others on the Salem/'Beverly Danvers side. Most of tne of the Danvers yards will also haul it for you. Check around and compare costs. Someone good will also be able to haul in winter, shrink wrap if necessary, etc.

I would check with Ryan Marine, they have a big storage yard on Jefferson Ave. in Salem.

What's the new boat? I would be happy to lend a hand in the Spring.

The name of the street with the Laundromat is Linclon Ave.

Ryan Marine in Salem & Marblehead has a good reputation, plus they can store the trailer for you during the summer.

Congrats on the new boat Liza! What did you get?
I did end up selling that Grady you emailed me about, it's now over at Hawthorne Cove having some work done.
Look for an old 35' Bertram soon to be re-named "Black Bart" before you head under the big bridge next spring, my new/used rig.
Good luck with the new boat!

Hi. I got an older 20 ft Pursuit. It's a good size - not too big for me to handle by myself and room enough for my Labrador and friend or two. I close on it officially tomorrow.

The guy over at Hawthorne Cove says there is mooring space next year and I am waiting on the paper work. So I should be all set in the spring.

I'll keep an eye out for you and your new boat too!

Hill's Yacht yard on River Street in Beverly may have some space. Ask for Mark Hill
