Report:
Pretty similar day as this past Friday........Quantity was there but quality was lacking....... 4 hours of trolling shads and tubes mixed in with some jigging produced about 20-25 blues between 3-8 pounds and about 6 or so bass all less than 28 inches. Sun was beautiful but the stiff North wind was chilly. Lots of bait and plenty of birds from Manasquan inlet right down through Lavalette......Best action seemed to have been in 50 feet of water..............

Last year it was towards the end of the month before the shad rig produced big fish, over 20lbs. This time last year jigs close to the beach worked for bigger fish. So far this year I haven't been out because of a motor problem. I hope to be back in this weekend.

More of the same for me today. I got 8 bass all 27" or less and about 30 blues. I was just outside of SR inlet. I heard of a few keepers here and there caught but no monsters.
