Made the trek north to the Salmon river today, windy, cool and off and on rain. Didnt bother the fish at all. We had fish almost all day. I hooked about 15 landing 5 with my buddy doing the same.
We were having a great day till I lost my footing tring to net a fish and ended up sitting in the river to my chest with water flooding my waders. Getting wet was bad but loosing my fly box with about 100.00 worth of flies and my terminal tackle box really sucked.
The fishing shut off around 2PM with a low pressure moving into the area with a lake effect snow watch tonight into tomorrow.
