Default NJ Mudhole reports

Anyone here anything about the Monster Ledge? Last I heard they were catching bft last Sunday but that was 9 days ago. I was thinking of heading out there tomorrow but would love to hear something positive before taking the trip.

I haven't heard a thing in the last week. But if you don't get out tomorrow another blow-out is coming this weekend. I think my offshore season is over.

Yeah I know tomorrow will be the last trip offshore. Weather looks like crap after that. The last report I read on THT was from Sandpiper John from last Sunday. It was a positive report but that was 9 days ago. A lot can happen in 9 days. Thanks for the response Jeff.

Went today to Monster Ledge. Had to keeper blue fin the largest being around 55 lbs. Chunked heavy and fished in 210 ft of water. Fish found around 50 ft.

Went out to the East edge of the ledge today. Came home with an empty box. A few boats caught one and had a few runoffs. I had no runoffs. The two I heard that were caught were on sardines and a jig. The fish were there but a little picky today.

I anchored and chunked butters most of the day and drifted the last hour.

Heard of a few nice reports yesterday on Sardines and Peanuts. Some Mako out there too (took a chunk of a BFT in a report I got).

Yeah I heard the same report from I believe someone in a Viking sportfisher. That has to be an awesome sight. That was the boat that was drifting and doing ok. Drifting didn't work for me. Like I said the bft knew what they wanted yesterday and i didn't have it for them.

They were on a 33' contender.

Must have been crazy.
I believe they had 3-4 run offs and boated a 57" or so.

Anyone hear of any recent reports? I was out yesterday bass fishing and heard a few guys heading out there on the radio. No coming in reports though.
