Default cod info much appreciated

Looking for a bit of good info. I'm going to be burning up gas this weekend and am going to try my first outing cod fishing Stellwagon. The boat will be put away after this last trip. I am aware of the size of the area and I know that I am not being very specific but I know not where to go. I will be coming through the canal and across Cape Cod Bay. Any good information regarding where to try is much appreciated! Thanks

My reports are all to the East of Stellwagon. If you have radar kick it up to 16 NM and look for the fleet East of the bank........you'll catch

Atom,

I'm planning a similar trip on Sunday (weather depending). I keep my boat at Mounument Beach in Buzz. Bay, and was planning on running through the cannal up to the east side of the bank. I have some #'s for the Middlebank area that I was going to try first before working my way east. Maybe we could trade scouting reports up that way.

Looks like Sunday may be better. It's a long ride from Fairhaven. I would be more than agreeable to communicating generalalities.

You guys have to know better then this to check NOAA reports this far ahead. NOAA reports are like New England weather, they change every ten mins. Normally check the day or night before you go. But then again, I've been out with 1 - 2 footers called for, and it was like being on a lake.

If they are calling for 1-2 feet then that is like a lake and they were right , it is the ocean after all.
