Default Hydra Sports 212 CC

Looking to purchase a Hydra Sports 212 CC for use in and around Nantucket Sound. Seems to have decent fit/finish with average materials. Comes with Yamaha 150 2 stroke. Anyone familiar with this brand? appreciate any comments. Thanks.

I have a 2004-Hydra Sport 2400 Vector CC with a Evinrude 225. Not familiar with the 212. My boat is a Great boat, very dry- nice bow flare. Upholstery sucks. Not keen on Evinrude wish it was a Yami. That aside, Hydra Sport is an excellent boat. I have been 70 miles offshore and trust the boat to handle alot of nasty water. My brother has the same boat with a Yamaha and loves his as well. He fishes Stellwagon and loves his boat. I have had other boats and this is my favorite.~JJ~

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I think a 23-25 ft is in my future once I get my sea legs back (10 year absence!).

I have a 2002 21' Fish Hawk, which is a 212 Hyra Sports hull. I use it on LI sound but would not recommend it as an offshore boat. While it is ideal for use on the sound under most conditions it really bounces around when the swells get high.

For offshore fishing, I'd go over 25'.

I have a 2002 212 That was listed last November. Listed for a month then wrapped her. I'm deciding now if I want to run it another season or not. Let me know if still looking. Great boat, ALOT of room for a 21 and very seaworthy.

I've got a 210 FishHawk which is same hull as Hydra Sport. We like alot and got on Jefferies all the time. Can be wet when seas are over 3 feet and cross breeze. I've had it in 8 foot seas a couple of times - didn't like but boat handled it well. 150 hp motor will push you about 44-45 mph. I've never had an issue coming up out of hole even with 8-9 people in boat. I don't have tim tabs either.

Boat has a tremendous amount of room it for it's size. We will fish 5-6 adults without tripping over anyone. Great family fishing / scuba boat.
