Default Buzzards Bay icon goes up in smoke

It is sad to report that yet another Buzzards Bay restaurant is going up in smoke as I write this. This restaurant has been an icon of Main Street for years on end. The restaurant has been know for serving one of the best prime ribs dinner for over 20 years. The restaurant I'm talking about is right next to the famed Chicken Ranch. It is known as the Mazza Luna. At the present time the fire is in the 4th alarm stage and possibly going to a 5th alarm. From the sounds of thing it is not going well due to exposure to other building which might be also involved in fire.

First the Tin Man (Otis Rotary) then The Bridge (Sandwich), now Mezza Luna -- not good!

The Bridge is really in the town of Bourne. You did miss a couple of places. On the other end of town almost into Onset you have Percy's Place which burned a couple of years back. Also you have Bayberry's in Pocassett which caught fire not to long ago. But that has been since rebuilt and is back in business. There was another restaurant on Main Street which burn down about 30 years ago. That was the Topaz. It was located in the open lot between the bowling alley and the post office. Alot of history goes up when these places go down. The worst part about these old restaurants is why they go down so quickly. It's because of their construction. Now a days you have fire stops in the wall. But with the older building they did not know about it. So when a fire starts it goes straight to the roof..
