Default First Salty Launch - Point Pleasant

I'm takin the 207 out to Point Pleasant on Saturday based on the fact that it's the closest launch I know.

So that I don't set a trend and get skunked on the first trip, can anyone recommend an area off this beach to start fishing? I've got a Lowrance GPS and could find a wreck or other spot pretty easily.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Fred

Wednesday we fished the lumps off Mantoloking at the south end of Carlson reef...caught 10 keepers in about 3 hours and another 2 dozen throwbacks. No sea robins, skates or dogs all afternoon. Good luck.

I haven't got a fishing chart yet and only have the standard chart for the area. Do you have coordinates or a description of where Mantaloking pipe is?

Thanks,

Fred

We caught 4 keepers in the 17-20" range at the Carlson area Thursday morning.

And another12 shorts, many in the 16_something size.
