Default SWC - Tuna then Cod/Haddock/Shark

Heading out this weekend, OTW at dark... and on the corner for the early Tuna bite. I have heard on the radio of folks picking up once the bite stops and heading out for Cod/Haddock/Shark. So I was thinking about extending a long day into a very long day and giving it a shot.
Anyone have an tips/success on this?
Is the best bet to go East and look for deep (250-300') of water and drop em?

Any help is appreciated!

Also - I will be out there on Sat if anyone is looking for chatter - CornerOffice on 68

i was out yesterday and fished for 6 hours all over s. jeffries and only got 3 haddock and no cod keepers plenty of small cod. for a while fished around 2 party boats and they were not doing any better. there was a sunfish hanging around the boat for a while pretty ugly but its the first time i seen one that close. i think tuna were jumping around us but don't know for sure as just kept seeing the splash and not the fish

I've done pretty well going as far North and on the East
side of Jeffries as possible. Fewer dogs and more keepers,
mostly Haddock. Depths ranging from 180' to 250' using an
assortment of bait, usually clams and squid, but I'll throw some
shrimp and the occassional chunk of Mackeral at them for a
little variety. I NEVER jig, too lazy. The bite is usually best
as close to sunrise as you can get there. Using the "reverse troll"
method to keep the bait in one place and cut down on the amount
of line you have to let out is always productive as well, if the fish are
there in the first place. If I go more than 15 minutes minutes without
at least some sign of life, I move. Usually in 1/2 mile increments.

Sounds like you got it right, I do the same, except I jig too. Remember your line HAS to be straight up and down or else your not fishing under the boat, fishing the fish you marked. Just keep trolling along till you mark them, then put em in the boat.

Remember there is no commercial fishing, dragging or gill nets, year round east of 70 15. The fishing is substantially better.

Dont throw away the jigs. The customers on the 6 pac boat I mate on took home over 250lbs of fillet yesterday all caught on jigs. We havent used bait since June and have done very well even on the bugeyes.
