Default Need Mooring for one week in Portland, ME

Hi,

I am heading up to vacation on Cliff island the week of July 7th. Anyone know where I might be able to get a mooring for a week. Any idea on cost? Any/all info appreciated.

Thanks,

Ralph

Hi Ralph,

I agree you should start with Handy Boat. if they can't help the Falmouth Harbor Master might be able to help (207-781-7317). They do not rent transient moorings. However he might be able to find a spot for you. No launch service. He might also be able to give you additional names of places that rent transient moorings. There are places in Harpswell, but I don't know the names. Not sure if you've been here before, but make sure you explore Jewel and Eagle island. Very close to Cliff.

I prefer to have a mooring on Cliff as that is where I will be staying. I have a kayak so I can use that to get out to the boat as long as it is not to far out.

Dimillo's rent slip space right in down town Portland. Everything is an easy walk right to the Old Port area for fine dining, shopping and night life

But its a long swim to cliff island from there.

There are moorings for rent on Cliff by the fuel pump- so I have been told. Try the Fisherman's Cove General Store at (207-766-2046). I think these are the ones who have the moorings- if not they would know who does.
