Default Raritan / Sandy Hook Bay - Slip???

I'm interested in a slip anytime from mid April to the end of May. In the fall I get a slip in Atlantic Highlands for November and December but they do not offer this type of slip in the spring.

I don't paint the boat so ideally the place I slip would have a boat ramp so I could clean the bottom every 2 weeks. If a ramp is not available I have a way to get around this issue.

Anywhere on the bay shore is OK. Preferable in NJ from Keyport to the Highlands.

The boat is a 23' Walkaround. Anyone know of a temporary slip avaiable for 4-6 weeks?

Thanks,
Scott

Scott, not exactly in Highlands but try the Quay in Sea Bright. The usually have plenty of slips early in the season; as well it is about 15 mins from the ramp at the Atlantic Highlands MM. The owners name is Victor and he is a super nice guy.

Thanks Northern. I will check it out. Any other suggestions? Maybe in the Keyport area?

Thanks,
Scott

Not a slip but my friend stores his boat in a fenced in storage lot about a mile North of Atlantic Highlands. He trailers it to the Highlands then. He found it one day by driving around, if you are interested I can call him or see him next week.

PA, I do the same as far as land storage in AH. I just know a slip is a lot easier and I get a temporary slip in AH in the fall but they do not offer it in the spring.

Thanks for the heads up.

Don't bother. They never have anything open. I gave up on getting a slip at Petersons a long time ago. Keyport Marine Basin may have slip available. But if you have a hardtop on your boat you'll only be able to get out when the tide is right do to a bridge.

Thanks Harry and Mike. I will try both. I do have a hardtop. Past experience with a friends boat in Keansburg reminds me that waiting for tide is a PITA.

It does not have to be Keyport, just looking for something safe and closer to the back bay.

Thanks,
Scott

Thanks. I dry store in Atlantic Highlands spring and fall already. I thought a slip might be nice just for the month of May. Get me a little closer to the Parkway and to the back bay fishing.

I'm a little late with my input but you can give Vikings marina in Laurence Harbor a call.
ask for Larry sr. he might be able to help you.

Even a little later, but right down the creek from Viking, is Morgan Marina, call and talk to Pete, they have a load of open slips in that time frame. It may be late for this year, but you can make a note for next year.
