A bunch of Bertrams will make the trip on July 20, 2007 to attend the Bertram Mid-Atlantic Rendezvous. I am going to guess about 80 miles.

I do FI to Cape May and Ocean City many times a year and I have done the AC trip several times before in the past. Depending on the speed and sea-worthiness of your vessel, Atlantic City should be a relatively easy trip as it is only 90 nautical miles from the FI Head Bouy to Abescon Inlet Bouy "1". I usually plot in the Barnegat Offshore Lighted Gong Bouy "2" first, then run to the Abescon Inlet "1" Bouy because a strait line plotted course out of Jones would take you high and dry around the Barnegat area and a strait line plotted course out of Fire Island will take you too close to shore by Little Egg Inlet. Seas can get a bit jacked up from the Mud Hole area to BI so watch your weather conditions carefully, especially this time of year. Also, when crossing this same area, keep a sharp eye out for pots and other fishing gear. PM me if you have further questions.....Hope this helps.....
