Default Boat ramps near Halibut point ?

I was thinking it would be easier to trailer my boat down this way from NH for the spring cod run. Does anyone know a good ramp to use in this area ?

I have a good time up here but still trying to find an inshore hot spot to jig for the biggun's here has alluded me. Although the thumb did produce for me last year, most everyone I know heads south for the first week in June. I have a 19' CC so going much father than the thumb is a little unnerving for me.

Thanks Harpoon, I'll give it a try earlier. I am usually there later in May and June for the stripers...anchored.

About a half mile south west of the IOS you will see a large yellow bouy with some smaller sattelite bouys. They are on the charts as well.

Harpoon, if you dont mind me asking, why anchor? I was up there this spring with the fleet but could not put any monsters in the boat. They were there for sure ( on the ff anyway), a little off the bottom (5-15') but I could not get them to hit my bait/jig while drifting. I thought that they just werent biting and/or my baits were slipping underneath them. Very interesting, thanks B

I don't know. I am usually a drifter. A couple times I have been there doing nothing until I anchored .... then Bang !
