Default Giant Fishing?

With all the buzz of the giants in the mudhole, me and my father were thinking of trying it out... I've done the night chunking in the canyon... I assume its just on a larger scale? i.e. big rods... bigger hooks, etc.. How many flats can i expect to go throught... what size hooks and leaders are you guys using. We are gonna go thursday-ish... is the bite still hott or is it dying out? Thanks guys.. keep up the good work.. some of the fish on here are pretty damn impressive.

All I know is that the Eagles went home with an empty bucket last weekend.

when you do go get live blue fish and if so see any trawlers that dump the bait over pick up the floaters that what they been eating the floaters will sink once you put the hook in so put foam or the shipping peants in them so bring a net of any sort good luck

soontobe-

Good call. However, there are just as many (or more) under those on top. It does not hurt to foat the baits down with all the stuff below the surface. Three of the fish we got this year were in that frenzy. Plus, that live bluefish with a 20 foot lead swimming in that bait does not hurt.

Don't go tuna fishing, it's a sickness that can't be cured!

Compared to what it once was, giant fishing today is a monumental waste of time...
