Default Today (Wednesday) I caught...

...the biggest danged bull-nosed ray I've ever seen, off Swan Point. Must have been 3 1/2 - 4' wingspan and took a half hour to get it to the boat before I cut it loose. No rocks, though. I'm still tired from that ray!. Gorgeous day on the water -- the best one all year. Not hot, not humid, a little breeze -- what more could you really ask for (except that the ray could have had stripes)?

Sounds like a nice day on the water even though no rocks. Were you chumming or trolling?

I'm still running on last year's tank! Between the rains, the heat and a late start due to my trim tabs installation, I haven't needed to visit a fuel dock yet.

I have to head back to NJ today (in the rain, it looks like), and I usually avoid weekends on the water, so I'm hoping for good wx early next week.

I was surprised to see a big ray so far North in the bay's brackish water. Is this common?
