Bluefish from Rudee Inlet? - The Hull Truth

Yep, bluefish! I think the wife and I are going to take the boat down to VA beach this weekend. In the interest of getting her more excited about fishing I'd like to get on some of those relentless bluefish the offshore guys have been complaining about. I have not fished out of Rudee before...does anyone have recommendations on some good features/lumps/etc. to go to w/in 15nm from shore to get the us into the action with some bigger bluefish? We'll be trolling.

If you want big bluefish, you'll have to go more than 15 miles offshore.

Ok, but all the way to 20fath and out? If it's that far I'll surely be spending my time and $$ targeting tuna, not choppers. Don't need 30+ inch fish but something more than the standard 12-14" wimps that are in the bay is what we were looking for.

Best reports latley is that most Bluefish have moved on to the North. The water temps have risen and it seems that the ones on the lumps are gone
