Re: Striper Report for Cheasepeake Bay (Hampton, Va)
We caught a couple schoolies this morning in front of the HRBT at sun up. They we went to CBBT. Hung out around island 3 and 4 and the tube. not even a hit. And from on the VHF only a very few were taken all day. Still was a beautiful day to be out on the water. I am very pleased with the Sea Hunt 202 w/ Yammie F150 bought from a THT'er back in OCT.
Re: Striper Report for Cheasepeake Bay (Hampton, Va)
Nothing but schoolies around here. We have an 11-boat seaon-long tournament here and at least another half-dozen of us not in it... none of us have been consistently catching keepers. Largest fish weighed in yet here is 5lb (23").
Re: Striper Report for Cheasepeake Bay (Hampton, Va)
Fished all day Saturday around the CBBT and ended up with one 39 incher. Threw everything in the tacklebox at them and fished two sets of birds working with no results. Hope someone out there is having better luck.
Re: Striper Report for Cheasepeake Bay (Hampton, Va)
Caught some nice fish last week north of the small boat channel at the CBBT wirelining 1/4 oz white bucktails on a outgoing tide. Some over the slot limit. Haven't typically seen those size fish in that area this year.
Re: Striper Report for Cheasepeake Bay (Hampton, Va)
Tons of big fish last week Monday from 72a to HI...Skunked on Sunday from 72B to north of HI...I think Ill wait this week out see what happens next weekend....Everything seems to be later this year. The bulk of the fish are still in the ocean its only a matter of time....All reports I received down south (cbbt) tons of small rock and trout.....
Re: Striper Report for Cheasepeake Bay (Hampton, Va)

Yeah, we did well Brian. It was funny though, we saw this HS and Derek and I both looked at each other and "I wonder if that's Bronco???"

RE: Striper Report for Cheasepeake Bay (Hampton, Va)
Any activity in the mouth of the CCBT / Cape Henry? Last trip out a few weeks ago went well. Decent size fish being caught amongst 100 boats on the ocean side of the tunnel. Been trying to make it our again but the weather has not been cooperating.

Is anyone catching fish of any size?
I went out of Rudee 12.11.05. Went south. Had a small one on quick. Had a giant blue on. That was it. I think the boys that went further South did better. We went 15 miles South total. Saw some boated but got the sense it was tricky for most.

RE: Striper Report for Cheasepeake Bay (Hampton, Va)
Thanks for the update! Going to head down this weekend weather permitting.
Reports of 50lb fish caught this past weekend @ the High Level Bridge (Fishermans Island) and off Cape Henry (Green Can)
The water temp has dropped quick which tells me the big numbers of fish may stay offshore and wind up on the Carolinas sooner than expected.

Richard, my brother and I went to all 4 islands, the Cape Henry wreck as well as the 4A last Saturday. There was a lot of bait, the birds were working all over and we were marking fish off the Cape, the only problem was no one was catching anything. There was no moving water to speak of, maybe we should have gone to the High Level.
