Kiptopeake State Park is my first choice and is the closest..... but there is a fee.... not sure what it is since I get a years pass..... might be as high as 6 dollars....I would avoid Kiptopeake on a holiday weekend.

Cape Charles is a great choice also but adds about 5 miles one way to your ride to the CBBT...... it is free..... less volume on a busy holiday weekend.

Put in at Cape Charles and you can hit all of the good 'hot spots' on the way down to the CBBT.

It's off of Route 13. Just follow the sign to Cape Charles (right turn) & go about 1 mile. turn left at the stop sign then take your first right. The first left goes over a bridge that crosses a railroad track & look for the ramp sign.

I`m headed down that way next week.I think kiptopeake is about $10 if you are out of state and Cape Charles is free.We usually use CC,because it is closer to the Cell and right out front of the mussel bed[36A,38A].In Dec. we use Kipto and head straight for the CBBT. This trip we are going for reds, blacks and maybe some tog and flat things.

Let us know how you do. I saw dolphin off of Hoopers Island on Sunday. The salinity must be real high or they were lost. There should be some good fishing if the salt level stays up.
