Default Little Help on choosing a boat

My wife and I have been looking at new boats all winter. We plan on attending the Capital boat show on Sunday. We have narrowed our search down brands and models and now I am looking for a little input. The two boats we are looking at are the Polar 2310 and the Champion 24 Bay Champ.

Of the two, we are leaning toward the Polar because of style, price and the overall feel. However, I have not seen one of these boats on the bay. We enjoy Bay fishing and plan on using the boat for both fresh and salt water.

Could anyone give me some much-needed insight? Thanks in advance.

You may get more feedback to questions about boats and such in the main boating forum. Also, a search may reveal more information about the specific models you mentioned or even point you towards others you haven't considered. If you have a chance to sea trial both boats on the same day, you'll probably know which you prefer. Good luck and welcome.

Cooper,

Thanks for the input and advice on posting in a different area. I am VERY new to this site, so I am just feeling around right now. I do a lot of Bay fishing, and have not found a very user-friendly site with a discussion board. I have been reading many of the posts on this site and found that there is a lot of good info and hospitality. Most of the boaters are fishing the deep, which I enjoy as well. I only go out to the blue water when my buds and I charter a boat.

I plan on visiting this site often and reading the adventures of others.

Again Thanks,
Scot

Just bought a 21' CC polar from Ken's marine in Stafford week before xmas. Although I am still in the breakin period for the outboard, we are certain we made the right decision. .....just my opinion, for the features vs $$ Polar is a very good new boat for the money.
