Default Assawoman Canal

Has anyone attempted to go through the canal now that it has been dredged? I have heard reports that it is deep enough, however bridge clearances are low.

when did they dredge it?

i took my Kencraft 206 with a hard top through it years ago (2001-2002?) dont remeber much trouble with the bridges but deffinatley kicked up mud for a while.

I think Central Av has a new higher deck.
Below Rt 26, trees may be a concern though, depending on what you take through there.

DNREC completed the dredging the canal in February/March this year.
