There are a boatload of marinas in the Elkton, Chesapeake City, North East, and Charlestown areas. Your best bet might be to get one of the Bay cruising guides which lists marinas and their services, then make some calls.

Another option is to get a copy of the Mariner, Salty Dog, or NorEaster, and check the ads section for local marinas.

Good luck!

Take a ride down to the area the Mariner and Northeastener parpers are free and at most marinas and places like West Marine and convience stores in the area.Triton is a nice place but the Elk river is full of low water spots till you get to the C&d canal. The Boehiem or Northeast river marinas provide better access to the upper bay.

I have recently bagan using Anchor Marina. It is a class act all around. Very friendly, easy access, It is just pass the town of Northeast, Md. Worth looking into. They have a decent boat ramp, dry storage, etc. I have seen some decent sized boats through there.

How big a boat are you talking about?

My boat will only be 19ft. I live northwest of Philadelphia so I'm really trying to stay in the upper part of the bay and rivers. I do want however a dry dock. Triton is supposed to be building (done in Oct) a 500 boat high dock. Their rates seemed to be pretty good

anchor marina is as far north in upper bay as you can go. their prices are also reasonable. we are deciding between shrink wrap and indoor storage for winter. we use an 18' boat from Wilmington, is only a 25 minute car ride and you are right there.
