Default Looking for Mech. at Mid Atlantic Marine

The dealer, Mid Atlantic Marine, in Warsaw Va closed up shop a few months ago. I am sorry to say that I had not noticed until after they were gone, since I had not needed work or supplies for a few months. One of the mechanics was one of the best I had ever meet. "Jamie" was the reason I would take my boat and engine to the dealer.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where he went. I am hoping that he went to a nearby dealer. Does any one know where I can locate him? Does any one have any information on any of the staff that were at Mid Atlantic Marine so I can try to find where they went?

Thanks,

That's SAD to hear - I usually chatted with them at the boat shows in Jan. & Feb. and they always seemed like VERY nice folks! I met Robin Parker at their booth a few years ago.

AND, they were the "local" PARKER dealer, plus a couple of other "bowrider"-type brands. !

I don't know where the folks went, but you might try calling Jett's Marine (far as I know, they still carry Yamas) up in that same area and see if they know?

Again, sorry to hear the news.

Regards,

Yeah, they sold Stingray's and Parker's. Along with Sea-Doo and Can-Am. Jason, who was the ticket writer and Jamie, who was their main Yamaha mechanic were great. I could always count on them to get me what I needed and make sure it was done right. I can't say I am surprised to see the dealer disappear, as the new owner was not the best at customer service, but the shop was great. I am hoping that they pop up as a shop only, sans dealership, as I think they would do quite well.

But, if anyone knows where the shop guys went, please let me know. Jett's Marine is about the same distance, it's just the quality of service I got from the shop, Jason and Jamie specifically, is going to be hard to match. Nothing against Jett's marine, I have heard neither good nor bad about them.

Thanks,

Good luck. I live in Callao but do most of my own mechanic work myself. Pretty small community, you should be able to ask around. They still have boats in the lot, I assume they are still for sale. Maybe someone is still at the store to sell those boats?

Thanks,
FWIW, Jett's Marine is great. Jack Jett and Bubba are a pleasure to deal with. It's family owned and run and they have been in business a LONG time. I bought my boat from them and would not hesitate to go back for a new boat or maint.

FYI Jetts Marine has great service. fishing the Reedville blue fish derby i had an oil alarm gowing off. (bad sensor) had a tech @ the boat @6:30 AM had me back on the water in less than 1 hour! also very resonable rate.

I would also recommend Jetts. There is also a private mech outside of Burgess on your way to Kilmarnock that is darn good. It is the first right after Bobbys Marine I believe. He does good work but forget his name.

I would avoid that idiot Cobia dealer in Burgess though.

The dealer in Burgess is Johnny's, I think and He is mainly a Mercury I/O man from
what I hear. Funny no one is recommending Bobby's Marine, why?
