Default Planer boards Ches Bay

I fish mostly Ocean side out of OC but, today I gave the MSSA fall Striper tourney a try. I fished the main channel off Sharps Isalnd and everyone was towing these planer boards. First time I had seen this technique. Does anyone have any info on these boards. How's the setup and how many lines do you troll on each side? Any info would help.
Thanks

yep you tow the board with a good heavy line then you put on that line releases that go down the line from the poles the the more the releases the more the lines.you must have a good place to anchore the planers Ie the hard top. and I say scootty releases. this stuff all started in the great lakes fishiery

There are plans on here for two-board planers.
All I have personally seen on the Chessie are three-board systems.
I am told that with the amount of lead we use in the bay, the two-board system gets pulled under, so three boards are needed.

I have not found plans for a three-board setup, but my buddy is building me some for an early Christmas present. I should get them Thursday.
When I get them, I will post pics with measurements for ya.

Go over to tidalfish and look up "Sailfish27" He is a very active member that builds and sells 3 board planer board. You definilty want to go three boards as oppsed to 2. I have trolled up to 6 lines off one side with the three boards. They are definitly an advantage in the spring there are days where 80% of my fish come off the boards. Theory is when you drive over the fish the scatter to the sides and down. You don't have to add much weight ot the tandems/singles or even umbrellas off the boards.
