I'm new to saltwater and am looking to fish for the
smaller stripers that move into the tributaries of the
Cheseapeake Bay i.e.Severn, Magothy or South River.
Eastern shore?
Any pointers for a rookie? Light tackle/ Fly rod.
Boat can get into real skinny water.

i don't have much experience with fly fishing, but you can't go wrong with yozuri's....i prefer the floating action but you can also get the ones that dive about 18"....they work as well.....i like silver/silver and black/silver and blue.....

For starters I would buy the book titled 'Flyfisher's Guide to Chesapeake Bay by Ed Russell and Bill May.
Then get out there and listen to lectures by the local guides and in fact maybe book one or two for some valuable information. Then just get out there and do it.
