Random Quote: Most fishing problems are caused by the connection between the boat and the rod.
Always lots of head boats chumming around 72 and a few miles from the American Mariner. I like to bank fish around Smith Island and across to Rumbley. Just pick a point and anchor 40-50 yards from it, use soft crab and bottom rigs and cast towards shore.
I wish I lived in the Fla. Keys! Hot saltwater action everywhere you go. My father lives in Naples Fla. and ofcourse we turn every visit into a fishing trip. I am amazed at how many species you can catch on one stinkin jig! But back to reality.....Ive got to get some blood and guts on my new boat and I have to do it fishing out of Solomons. I missed the spring run of the big boys so I am in the hunt for the schoolies. I will check out Smith Island thanks for the tip. Too bad about the easy pickens at the gas dock. They would break water every night under the bright lights from the platform. Seems like all of the bay action istowards the south. Good luck JPV
