Default Catching Cobia At York Spit Light 8/21/09

Took my brother David and two of his co-workers, Brian (cool name) and Paul out to YSL for some chumming and fishing. We departed at 1030 on my Grady from my house in Poquoson. I had stopped at Pops Bait and Tackle in Hampton earlier and loaded up on spot and chum so we did not have to worry about looking for hook bait. Set up on the North side of YSL in about 19 ft of water and had our fish on in about 30 minutes. It was Brian's first cobia and the biggest fish he has caught at about 32 lbs. We had two other short runs thru the day but no more hookups. We did feed and catch many bluefish. The one fish was caught on a spot near the surface close to the chum bucket. It was hot but tolerable with the winds at at steady 15-20 out of the SW. Had a great day with good company, back at my dock around 1700 hrs. Here are a couple pictures.
