hahaha, yeah, well i'll just say that in life i find it rare that my grandmothers belief that I 'will be beating the girls off with a stick' is accurate, but this weekend I actually have to say no more hot girls on my boat...ready to buy a raft at toys'rus and put someone in it!
Mike, shoot me that PM, I will actually be out on the boat tomor, I will give the area to the north a shot...

the article has me a bit worried or confused...is it just saying that only certain boats with that pass are allowed in the area, or can you simply tie up to other boats like I was told by a friend?

RD,
The pass is for slips at the Inn's docks. You can raft up at will in the basin.

They can/will shut the basin down if it gets full. That usually only happens about mid day Sat.

I plan on showing up sat(stuck working till 2 on sat) with some friends with my newly repaired boat. I was thinking of launching from elk neck, I don't know of anywhere else to launch into/near the canal(I'm in Newark). This will be my first time at canal day, so I'm unsure what to expect.

OK already, I have never been to canal days, but after reading about it before hand, I thought someone who was there would report back regarding the debauchery. There must be some stories with 70 dozen beads.

very late updating this but that was an awesome day!
We went through a great many beads, next year need more water baloons, and better water guns.
Heres a terrible quality pic but it gives you an idea of what was going on...atleast on my boat.

Huh, how 'bout that, were you cooking hamburgers and had a bossy asian chick demand some from you? Some of that group was also from our boat, though the above mentioned chick was just a friend of a friend.
I assume you got to watch the spectacle when the boat to our North was taking on water and the CG had to set up a pump and then tow them out.
