Go here and start reading everything on pertaining to the "Flats". I do not believe there is anywhere you can get more up to date info.

Unwritten guide lines to have a good day on the Flats for anyone unfamiliar with it:
Know the water / area. Have a GPS if possible, Navonics chip is a major advantage. It's called the "Flats" for a reason!
When around the "Fleet", Go slow and be quiet.
To get in on the "Drift", go slow and wide around the "Fleet" to the up current or wind side then quietly drift through while fishing.
Don't crowd.
Don't anchor in the middle of the "Fleet Drift".
And so on and so on...
Finding fish on your own is way more satisfying.
Of course no one owns the water and you can do what ever you please. Again these are just some guide lines that can lead to a successful day for you and fellow anglers.
