Default Is there a good achorage area in Ruddee inlet

I'm planning a trip to Va beach and I wondering if anyone has achored overnight on Lake Rudee?

I am not sure there is a suitable location for that. Public ramp, Navy launch area, private docks, and four marinas make it a pretty high traffic place.

good marine would be the Fisherman Wharf. walking distance to the ocean front and boardwalk dining.

Another option would be go in Lynhaven inlet and anchor in Broad Bay.

We are interested in visiting the boardwalk on the beach Lyn haven is to far to walk, thanks for the thought.

We've been down there many a time via a automobile and motorcycle. This will be our trip with boat,
It's about 100 nautical miles from our home port.

Rudee Inlet has a spot in Lake westley where sail boaters anchor overnite from time to time.You can call the Virginia Beach fishing center where I keep my charter Boat.Ask for Mary or Carter at 757 491 8000.
