Default Indian River Inlet

Can anyone tell me when Stripers show up in good numbers in this area. I live in Brick,Nj and my parents live in Harrington. I store my boat on their property and would like to make a few striper runs down here before I bring the boat north. Any areas you can recommend fishing as well as local techniques would be much appreciated. I also plan on making a couple Bluefin trips from here in July. If any of you have any plans on coming up my way, feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to give you a few tips or even take you out myself. Thankyou for any info you can share.

Joe.

They should start coming in heavy end of this month into early April, especially if the weather remains warm through this month. Most guys in boats drift the inlet, using live eels, bucktails, and an assortment of lures/plugs.
The drift is fast, so you'll need to stay alert and watch for other boats, and big boulders line both sides of the inlet.
Once the fishing starts getting good, there will be a ton of people fishing from shore on both sides of the inlet, don't get too close to the sides or you'll end up in someones line as most people cast and retrieve.

The striper fishing is really good there once they come in, and the flounder, tog, and blues fishing can be really good as well.

Thanks Hollywood. Are they mainly in the inlet and river this time of year or can I hook into them out in front as well? Also can any recommend a tackle shop, where I might be able to pick up a decent chart of the river and oceanside?
