Default Boating destinations close to Baltimore area

Hey folks,
I am a newbie boater (18" jetboat), residing in the Baltimore area, looking for some clean remote beaches that can be only accessed by a boat, and that's not too far from the boat ramp. If someone can provide some ideas, and even coordinates, would be great.

Last year, I had went out on the water in Essex (Rocky Point) and there is one "island" about 5-10 min boat ride. This year, I am looking for some new places to go...

Try Dobbins Island up inside the Magothy behind Gibson Island. Most weekend it get pretty crowded. Or, try straight across the bay up in Fairlee Creek.

Sounds like you found Hart Miller Island when you launched at Rocky Point.

Launching from Dundee Creek Marina in Gunpowder State Park or Mariner Point Park in Joppatowne places you in close proximity to Maxwell Point, a popular anchorage/ swimming hole on the GunPowder River, adjacent Edgewood Arsenal - beaching not permitted.

Launching from Havre De Grace city marina and heading down the Susquehana River a mile or two will lead you to the Fishing Battery and Sand Island. Sand Island is a sand bar depending on the tides, tends to be a popular location for many beach parties.

Launching in Middle River, enables you to enjoy the many creeks and anchorages that abound the area. Numerous waterfront restaurants offer transient dockage.

Go across the bay on a good day and go up the Chester River. Lot's of clean beaches and clean swimming. A good beach that a lot of people frequent is Conquest Beach.
