Not sure where Triton is located. Did not take the time to Google it. The Flats are between Perry Point and Havre deGrace, this you may already know.

I run out of Triton.

With out trying to be a jerk, obvious question is how fast are you running? I can get down to Turkey point in about 10-15 minutes and then from there it's where do I want to fish. It's an easy run with protected water.

When you say Spring, what dates will y'all start up approx?

Buddy and I are new to boating and striper fishing but would love to learn. If anyone wants to edumacate a little send me a pm. We'd love the opportunity to hook up with someone for a few hours.

Word on the street is there are already some fish on the flats. Most likely there will be more up river for a couple of weeks.
I'll probably be out there in a couple of weeks looking around.

I put in at Triton on Monday, 3/16, and fished for yellow perch without any luck. Later in the morning we pulled the boat out and launched at Elk Neck State Park (right at Turkey Point) and we caught two stripers on bloodworms as by-catch. They were small and it looks like we need a couple more weeks until they really show up.

Did you get anything else on the blood worms?
What was the water temp?
Fishing in the channels or deeper areas?
Another report stated fishing around the bridge pilings is where they found the rock (stripers).

Those were the only two fish we caught. Not another bite. I think the water was low 40's... I think it was 42. The deeper channnels showed lots of small fish on the fishfinder but no hits there. We caught the two stripers in 9-10 ft of water.

Can't wait for them to show up. Last year was disappointing. I didn't do very well and I did not see many at all caught. This year is going to be different.................right?

Let's hope so! The flats did not produce last year as it has in the past.

Water's still pretty cold.

Sat. 3-28, Bottom of the flats at Sandy Point. This was the only fish we caught or saw caught on lures. A BW was anchored and we saw him catch three on I believe blood worms, not sure what he was using. Maybe he is here on THT?

Water temp- 49.5 degrees.
Water clairity- the clearest I have seen it above the Flats, 5 foot +/- visibility. On the Flats and to Sandy Point, maybe 1 foot visibility.
Time fished- 10:30 am - 3;30 pm.
Tide- High at Havre deGrace 12:05 pm.
Wind- NE 5-10

Marked a lot of fish in the no wake area between the rail road tressel and RT. 40 in 55' to 75' of water. I mean A LOT of fish! Tried to jig them with 1 oz bass assassins and swim baits but no luck. They looked like big fish, not perch or shad. If I see them again I will take a pic of the Lowrance LCX.

I just joined THT. I'll be out on the flats this year with my 20ft Sea Hunt. I keep my boat at Triton Marina and I'm looking to find out how long my ride will be to the flats. If anyone knows or just has some pointers for a new boater, I'd love any feedback.
Thanks
